Over Temperature Fuse
Overtemperature fuses are critical safety devices used to protect electrical equipment from overheating. They are primarily categorized into two types: OT-F (one-time fusible temperature fuse) and OT-S (resettable thermal switch).
The OT-F fuse is designed to permanently disconnect the circuit when the temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold. This one-time use characteristic makes it ideal for applications where a single failure point is acceptable. Once the OT-F fuse has blown, it must be replaced to restore functionality. This type of fuse is widely used in LED lighting,Transformers,Electronic Components,Large Household Appliances,Small Household Appliances,Electric Heating Appliances, and motors.
On the other hand, the OT-S fuse operates differently. It is a resettable thermal switch that interrupts the circuit when the temperature rises above a specified limit. However, once the temperature returns to a safe level, the OT-S automatically resets, allowing the circuit to reconnect without the need for replacement. This feature makes OT-S fuses particularly suitable for applications like LED Lighting, Transformer, Motor,Battery,Hair Dryer,Heater,Oven and charger.
